Claiming Bing, Apple Maps and Yelp

Field-by-field values for all three platforms, so each claim is a sit-down and not a research session.

0 of 0 done

Built 2026-08-20 · re-verified live 2026-08-21. Companion to CITATION-AUDIT-2026-08-20.md, which says what is wrong. This says what to type, so each claim is a sit-down rather than a research session.

Three platforms, in priority order: Bing Places · Apple Business Connect · Yelp. All three need an account and a verification step, so all three are Matt or the client at the keyboard. None can be done by the agent.

What was verified, and what was not

Being explicit, because the difference matters when you are sitting in front of the signup form.

Bing / Apple category pickersNot verifiable without an account. Names below are targets, not confirmed strings

Where a category name is unconfirmed it is written as an intent plus a rule, because the rule is what actually protects the work. Picking a slightly different label is harmless. Picking a printing category is not.

🔴 Read this before you create any of them

The street address will be asked for. Do not let it become public.

All three platforms ask for a street address during signup or verification — that is how they confirm a business is real. All three also support service-area businesses, where the address is collected but hidden from the public listing. That is exactly how the Google profile is already configured.

On each platform, before you finish: find the service-area / "I travel to my customers" / "hide my address" setting and switch it on. Skip it and you have published their home address on a second, third and fourth surface — the precise thing the NAP policy exists to prevent, and far harder to retract than to avoid.

The address is already exposed through the Florida state registry, and that registry entry surfaces on Bing today — visible in the same search that shows the wrong city. That is the argument for adding no further copies, not for shrugging.

The description is not approved yet

The business description is the copy sitting in ../CLIENT-GBP-APPROVAL-2026-08-20.md awaiting Adam & Jeanine. The written promise — "nothing gets published in your name without you seeing it first" — does not stop at Google.

If you are claiming these before they reply: fill in name, phone, hours, categories, website and service area, and leave the description blank. Those are accuracy fields and need no approval. Come back for the description once it clears.

The canonical record — identical on every platform

Drift between these and Google is worse than not being listed at all.

Business name: All Ways Signs and Graphics
Phone: (954) 715-1265
Website: https://allwayssignsfl.com/ (+ per-platform UTM, below)
City shown: Pompano Beach, FL
Service area: Broward County · Palm Beach County · Miami-Dade County
Street address: COLLECTED FOR VERIFICATION, HIDDEN FROM PUBLIC — service-area business
Hours: Mon–Sat 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM · Sunday CLOSED

Name discipline: All Ways Signs and Graphics — spelled out, not &. Facebook and Instagram currently use &. Google uses and. Match Google, because that is the listing carrying 140 reviews and the one everything else gets reconciled against.

⚠️ Hours carry one open question. Matt confirmed Mon–Sat 10 AM–10 PM on 2026-08-20 and the Google profile shows it. The client has still not confirmed a 12-hour daily window is what they intended — a procurement buyer calling at 9 AM finds them closed. It is on the approval pack. Use 10–10 for now, since consistency with Google is the point, and expect to change all four surfaces together if the answer comes back different.

1 — Bing Places · do this first

bingplaces.com · needs a Microsoft account

Why first: the listing already exists, unclaimed, and it is wrong — confirmed again today. Bing feeds Copilot, DuckDuckGo's web results and Windows search, so the errors are being served to real people right now.

What is wrong on it today:

The 11:59 PM close is the fossil of the old "Open 24 hours" setting — the same wrong-hours problem that made the Google AI Overview screenshot so persuasive, still running on a second surface months later.

🔴 New finding — Bing is also carrying out-of-scope copy

The Bing entry currently describes the business as:

"We Create Visual Solutions of All Types. Family Owned. Banners. Fabrics. Printing. Signs. We Design For Formula One, Store Openings, Campus Signage, Vehicle Wraps & So Much More."

Two problems. Vehicle Wraps is the ruled-out service — full wraps were dropped on 2026-07-21, and this invites exactly the enquiry they have to decline. And "Formula One" is a claim nobody in the repo can substantiate; if it is not true it should not be on a listing in their name. Replace this copy when you claim the listing — and once the description is approved, use that.

Categories. Set a sign-shop primary, then add the closest matches Bing offers for graphic design, window tinting and banners.

⚠️ Do not take Printing Service, Print Shop, Copy Shop or Label Printer if offered. Those are the exact misclassification the Google pass just removed, and Bing feeds Copilot — taking them here re-seeds the problem on the surface that answers AI queries.

[confirm at signup] Bing has historically offered phone, email and postcard verification, and which appear depends on the listing. Take phone or email if offered — postcard means waiting.

2 — Apple Business Connect

businessconnect.apple.com · needs an Apple Account

Why: on Apple Maps a branded search for All Ways returns All Venue Graphics & Signs — a different company, same city, similar name. Every iPhone user who taps the business name into Maps is handed a competitor. They are not listed at all, so this is a create, not a correction.

Categories. Apple's taxonomy is much shorter than Google's; expect one primary plus a small number of secondaries. Aim for a signs/sign-shop primary, then graphic design.

A judgement call, recorded so it is a decision and not an accident: Apple may offer no non-printing category that covers acrylic signage and banners. If Printing Services is the only route to being findable for those lines, take it on Apple — Apple Maps does not drive the keyword-classification behaviour that made Print shop actively harmful on Google. The Bing prohibition above still stands; these two platforms are not the same problem.

Set the service area to the three counties and hide the address. Apple's wording for this changes between releases [confirm at signup].

https://allwayssignsfl.com/?utm_source=apple&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=apple-maps

For the pass after approval: Apple Business Connect supports a Showcase — a photo tile with a headline. The ADA and workflow-board lines are the two to feature. Not now.

3 — Yelp

biz.yelp.com · needs a Yelp account

Why: a branded search for All Ways on Yelp returns 12 competitors and not them. Yelp also syndicates into Apple Maps, so this and item 2 reinforce each other.

Categories — Yelp allows up to three. Two are confirmed; the third needs a decision at signup.

Signmaking ← primary ✅ confirmed live: Professional Services › Signmaking
Graphic Design ✅ confirmed live: Professional Services › Graphic Design
[third slot] ⚠️ see below

⚠️ Correction to the first version of this pack, which said to take "Window Tinting". Checked live: on Yelp, Window Tinting is a parent under Home Services that splits into Car Window Tinting and Home Window Tinting. Neither describes commercial window frost and privacy film, and the business picker will most likely offer only the two leaves. Home Window Tinting is the closest honest fit — they do residential and commercial, and the client explicitly asked in July for the window page to say home or business. Take it if the picker offers a usable option; if the only choice is Car Window Tinting, leave the third slot empty rather than take a category that describes work they do not lead with.

Set it as a service-area business and hide the address. Yelp will ask for a street address to create the page; look for "I don't have a storefront customers can visit" or similar [confirm at signup].

Website field:

https://allwayssignsfl.com/?utm_source=yelp&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=yelp

⚠️ Two things specific to Yelp

  1. Do not solicit Yelp reviews. Yelp's content guidelines prohibit asking, and its filter

suppresses reviews arriving in a burst — a 5.0/140 Google profile suddenly sprouting Yelp reviews is the exact pattern it hides. Claim the page for the citation and the Apple Maps sync, and let reviews arrive on their own.

  1. Expect sales calls. Claiming a Yelp page reliably produces outbound advertising calls. Worth

warning Adam & Jeanine so it does not arrive as a surprise attributed to us.

When all three are live

Re-run the branded search on each surface and confirm All Ways comes back, not All Venue:

Then append the result to CITATION-AUDIT-2026-08-20.md so the inventory stops saying "absent". That file is the before-record for the citation surface, the same way the GBP baseline is for the profile.

The two the client owns, not us

Both are on their own accounts. Flag them; do not edit.

fabrication, & professional installation, all from one team." Two problems: it names three clients whose display rights are still unconfirmed (only Hoerbiger and Auto Repair Pros are cleared), and "fabrication … all from one team"* is the blanket in-house claim the site deliberately stopped making after 2026-07-21.
